Nogotkov showing interest in Prokhorov bank

On 16 October 2012 Kommersant reported that the International Financial Club (Mikhail Prokhorov’s banking project that he co-owns with Viktor Vekselberg, Alexander Abramov, Suleiman Kerimov and Ekaterina Ignatova) could soon have a new shareholder, as Svyaznoi controlling shareholder Maxim Nogotkov is apparently interested in acquiring an interest from one of them.

Under one possible form of the transaction, Nogotkov could exchange a 25-30 per cent interest in the mobile phone retailer for shares in International Financial Club.

Nogotkov is on good terms with Prokhorov – he supported him during the Presidential elections and also the idea of creating a “Civil Platform”.

The one problem concerns the valuation of the bank – it could be worth at most RUB 6.8 billion.
