Varshavsky buying up regional agricultural producers

According to Kommersant, former Russian Coal co-owner Vadim Varshavsky has been buying up agricultural producers through Russian Agroindustrial Trust, and based on the results of  due diligence may soon acquire meat producer Pokrovsky, which also owns agricultural holding Kanevskaya (six agricultural enterprises, elevator, canning plant, etc.) and regional retail networks.

The  trust already includes feed production and meat processing plants, and also pig-breeding complexes in Rostov Region.
