Karpov moving into construction
OGO co-owner Ilya Karpov may soon buy half of Mosinzhstroy, which is one of the largest general contracting companies in Moscow, responsible for the reconstruction of the Kremlin and Gostiny Dvor, and is owned by former Neftyanoy Bank owner Igor Linshits. it seems like the right time to move, as OGO is virtually bankrupt. However, it could well be a temporary step.
According to certain sources, Ilya Karpov will subsequently sell his interest to key players on the construction market, potentially two acquaintances of Vladimir Putin – Arkady Rotenberg and Gennady Timchenko. Other sources close to Karpov retort that he is interested in the business.
